I don’t want anyone to think I’m ungrateful or that I’m not noticing the amazing support I’ve gotten from so many people. Every message, share, and kind gesture means more to me than I can really put into words.
But today, I want to give a special thank you to my dear friend Phil Perkins .
As soon as he read my post, he immediately offered to write and share a heartfelt message to help spread our appeal. He didn’t hesitate for a second, and that kindness really meant a lot to me.
My dear friend Phil, I honestly don’t have the words to say how grateful I am. I just hope God, or whatever Higher Power is watching over us, blesses you abundantly for your generosity, for being such a wonderful person, and for being such a loyal friend ever since I started my blog.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything. ❤️🙏❣️

Ah, my dear friend Carla, your kindness overwhelms me. Thank you so much! While there are so many wonderful words which come to mind each time I think of you, closest to my heart is the gratitude I feel in calling each other friends.
A loving wife to João, excellent mother to Andre and Ivan, and favorite of granddaughter Diana, your family remains in my prayers during this difficult time. You’re a strong and courageous lady of good character, Carla, all positive attributes which will serve you well, seeing things through until João returns home once again.
I’ve always held you in high esteem, my sweet friend, and appreciate you more than you know. From the bottom of my heart, I feel blessed to share your friendship and the kindness you’ve extended to me over these years, and I wish for you, João and all of your family, the opportunity to make many more marvelous memories looking forward. God bless you, my dear friend Carla. 💞🙏🌻

I forgot to thank you on behalf of João as well, obviously because he is the one who currently needs this wonderful show of support and solidarity. Fortunately, between chemotherapy treatments, he comes home—sometimes for days, other times for a little longer—because emotional balance is also important.
It is true that the empathy that has existed since the beginning of my blog felt natural, without any effort, and I can only thank you once again.
Again, as I’ve mentioned in the past, I am not that pillar of strength that many describe, and much less that woman described in a way I don’t see reflected in the mirror… but thank you for the compliments!
