Não vinha com manual de instruções, garantia nem sequer botão de reset. 😆
Foi aí que percebi que crescer não acontece necessariamente quando fazemos determinada idade. Às vezes, a vida simplesmente nos coloca responsabilidades enormes nas mãos e diz:
— Agora desenrasca-te! 🤣
E eu desenrasquei-me.
Com medo algumas vezes, com dúvidas


Há quem diga que nos tornamos adultos quando começamos a pagar contas, a trabalhar, a ter responsabilidades ou quando percebemos que o frigorífico não se enche sozinho. 🤭😅
No meu caso, a resposta é bastante simples:
Aos 16 anos.
Foi nessa idade que me tornei mãe pela primeira vez.
De repente, aquela miúda que ainda tinha muito para aprender passou a ter nos braços uma vida que dependia dela. Não vinha com manual de instruções, garantia nem sequer botão de reset. 😆
Foi aí que percebi que crescer não acontece necessariamente quando fazemos determinada idade. Às vezes, a vida simplesmente nos coloca responsabilidades enormes nas mãos e diz:
— Agora desenrasca-te! 🤣
E eu desenrasquei-me.
Com medo algumas vezes, com dúvidas muitas outras, com erros pelo caminho — porque nunca fui propriamente uma especialista em fazer tudo bem à primeira — mas sempre com muito amor.
Não digo que aos 16 anos soubesse o que estava a fazer. Não sabia. E hoje, olhando para trás, até tenho vontade de dar um abraço àquela miúda e dizer-lhe:
“Respira… vais aprender. E vais cair algumas vezes, mas também vais descobrir uma força que ainda nem sabes que tens.”
Ser mãe tão jovem fez-me crescer depressa, mas também me ensinou que a idade nem sempre mede a maturidade.
Há adultos com muitas décadas de vida que continuam a fugir das responsabilidades como quem foge da factura do supermercado. 🤣🤣
E há miúdos que, perante a vida, aprendem demasiado cedo a ser fortes.
Eu fui uma dessas miúdas.
Aos 16 anos tornei-me mãe.
E, sem perceber, comecei também a tornar-me a mulher que sou hoje.
Não foi perfeito.
Não foi fácil.
Mas foi meu.
E se pudesse voltar atrás, talvez dissesse àquela miúda:
“Não tenhas medo. Ainda vais fazer muita asneira… mas também vais fazer muita coisa bonita.” ❤️
E pronto… cá continuo eu.
Oficialmente adulta desde os 16.
Embora, sinceramente, ainda hoje haja dias em que procuro o adulto responsável pela situação.
O problema é que, pelos vistos, sou eu. 😅🤣❤️

    1. It’s always lovely to know that my perspective is understood, because I truly believe that our lives can — and should — always be told in the first person 😸😸. The “third persons” usually don’t really know anything anyway 🤭🤭🤭😂.

      Choosing to become a mother at 16 wasn’t an easy decision, but nowadays I can honestly say that it was the best choice I could ever have made. 🤗❤️ It taught me far more than any book or manual ever could, and somehow, through all the challenges, I grew alongside my children.

      As for my family being proud of me… 🤔 well, they’d better be! 😅😅😅 Otherwise, they know perfectly well what my bad temper is capable of! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

      And, as you can probably tell, I don’t handle compliments very well… I’m much better at making jokes and pretending I didn’t get emotional! 😆😂❤️

      1. Hahaha, the remarks you made about being able to tell stories from the first person vs from the third persons because the third person doesn’t really know anything, is true 💯👌😆😂. The third-person is still useful for otherwise conveying valuable lessons, bringing awareness and things like that, but when people tell stories from the first person and from first-hand, it often resonates more impactful ✊😹

        It is heartening knowing that when you turned a mom at 16, it may have seemed overwhelming becoming a mother at that age but now, you can’t imaging not being a mom which turned out to be the best choice that you have ever made, especially as this brought your life on a path to live and grow alongside your beautiful children 🙏🙏😇🥰💓.

        Yes 💯💯😹😹, I get where you are coming from about your family being proud of you and your dad’s temper, and of course I’m thinking that everyone is just impressed at your capacity to be a mother and still have time and energy for the escapades of Jacks, Alberto and Fenando 🤣🤣🤣🤣

        Your modesty definitely doesn’t allow compliments to get to your head, but that doesn’t mean you don’t deserve them 🌻😁😁😂😂
